Savings Options Available at Cornerstone Bank
Cornerstone Bank understands that the financial success of its customers is reliant upon having plenty of savings options available to help their money grow. As a community bank in Atlanta, Cornerstone supports the city and surrounding neighborhoods by offering a variety of accounts with competitive rates and benefits. Below is a look at what savings accounts are available today:
Cornerstone Savings: The basic savings account helps customers keep extra cash on hand in a fully liquid account. Maintain a balance of $250 or higher to avoid the quarterly maintenance fee. The balance will earn interest at the current savings rate and interest compounds daily on the ledger balance.
Cornerstone First Savers: Teaching children the importance of saving money is easier when they actually have their own savings account. You only need $5 to open and there’s no maintenance fee. This account also earns the current savings rate.
Certificate of Deposit: A certificate of deposit (CD) is a savings account that pays you a higher rate for keeping your money on deposit for a set amount of time. The longer the term length, the higher the rate. Cornerstone offers CDs with terms of 6, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months with interest compounded daily.
Cornerstone Advantage Money Market: For customers who want the features of a checking account with a higher interest rate, a Cornerstone Advantage Money Market can provide both. The minimum opening balance is $1,000, and there is no maintenance fee with a minimum daily balance of $2,500 or an average daily balance of $5,000. Interest rates are tiered, so the higher your balance, the higher the rate.
Cornerstone Money Market Sweep: This account is tied to your checking account to help maximize investment dollars while minimizing bank charges. Transfers are made automatically. You are limited to six preauthorized transfers and third party transactions each statement cycle.
